Hikawa Brewery: Omiya

Saitama's first brewpub, open since Spring 2014, serves up ten different varieties of freshly made craft beers, including several Pale Ale variations. The food menu offers typical pub fare, with a larger-than-average selection. Our charcoal-grilled pork tongue was very tasty; they also have lots of German-style sausages and basic small dishes like pickles and curry-flavored potato salad.
Most beers are Y1100 for a pint and Y600 for a half, and you can get beers to go (Y1100 for a 500ml pet bottle, Y2200 for one liter.) The interior is pleasantly rustic, with seating at four high tables or at the big counter that runs along the wall.
