A typical Irish pub in sound and appearance, The World End carries unusual and hard-to-find US craft beers in addition to Irish and international macrobrews. On a recent visit we found various beers from US brewers Modern Times, Fremont Brewing, Port Brewing and Breakside , plus some Europeans - Panacea Pale Ale from Edge Brewing (Barcelona), Pumpkin Tzar from Naparbier (Noain, Spain), Kappitel Winter abbey ale from Brouwerij Van Eecke (Belgium). All in all, not your usual Irish-bar lineup.
Beers come in three sizes, with US pints of craft beer generally going for Y1300. The food menu is less exciting than the drinks list, with ordinary pub fare like sausages and shepherd's pie.
The relatively late-night hours are worth knowing about if the other neighborhood spots are closed. The bar here is open until 1am on weeknights and Sundays (last order for drinks at 12:30, food at 11:30), and 2am on Friday and Saturday nights (last orders at 1:30am for drinks and 12:30am for food).
