Conveniently located in the Shimo-Kitazawa station complex, Schmatz offers an extensive menu of German dishes as well as German craft beers. Lunch is served from 11am-3pm, with a choice of schnitzels, sausages, sandwiches (German meatball, BLT-Avocado), and soup and salad platters. Sandwiches and sausage platters come with fries, soup and a beverage.

If you're mainly here for the beer you can select from seven beers on tap, including five or six of Schmatz's own German-style craft brews. Three-part tasting flights may be available. The evening food menu covers the usual sausages, schnitzels and salads along with pizza-like flammkuchen and quick tapas-style dishes.
