Sixteen freshly brewed craft beers from the Itabashi-based brewery are served on tap here, alongside a food menu featuring chicken wings, burgers and pizzas. Sometimes in odd combinations - one of their more attention-worthy dishes is a deep-dish pizza that's stuffed with hamburger, served in a size big enough for 3-4 adventurous diners.
Aleworks' regular burgers are less flashy but definitely worth a try. Juicy and meaty, they're well balanced in flavor and texture, with the thick meat patty complemented by lightly sauteed red onions and thick tomato slices. BBQ sauce is present, but just the barest hint of it, not enough to overpower the flavor of the meat. All in all, it's one of the better burgers on this side of town.
If you're just here for beer, the stools at the front-room bar are the place to be, while the next-door dining room is set up with tables that are more comfortable if you're eating and drinking. Both areas face the busy sidewalk next to Yurakucho station. The bar is open from 8am (they serve breakfast), and beer is available to take out.
