Citraba: Nakano
This second branch of Koenji-based craft-beer bar Citraba serves 14 beers on tap from well-regarded breweries like Drake's (California), Westbrook (South Carolina), Sennan (Miyagi) and Distant Shores (Tokyo). Most are priced at Y580 for a half pint (280ml) and Y980 for a pint (460ml), plus a small table charge. Three-part tasting flights of your choosing are Y1,100 for three 150ml glasses.
The food here is mostly ordinary izakaya-style dishes, but the fried chicken is a stand-out. It's made from an heirloom breed of chicken called Daisendori, deep-fried with a crisp, crunchy skin. At Y980 for a sharable serving (half a bird), it's good value for money as well.
