Attached to fancy French restaurant Bertrand Larcher, the Bar a Cidre is a great place to explore French ciders along with modern Breton cuisine. The drinks list offers three dozen ciders - mostly from various regions of France and mostly priced in the Y3,200-6,000 range for a 750ml bottle. There are also several ciders by the glass (from Y1,000) if you just want to stop in for a quick drink and snack. The French- and English-speaking staff will be happy to advise you on your choices.
The food is first rate, with appetizing starters like roast cauliflower in Bechamel sauce and leeks in vinaigrette sauce, and substantial main dishes like roast Daisen chicken and roast salmon. They also serve both savory and sweet buckwheat galettes and an impressive cheese plate. Budget around Y6,000-9,000 for a full meal with drinks, or you can just pop in for after-dinner drinks.
