Craft Beer Market: Kyoto Station
Thirty beers on tap, reasonable prices and decent food - that's the formula that has made Craft Beer Market a popular drinking destination in Tokyo, Osaka and now Kyoto. Most beers are priced at Y550 for a glass and Y880 for a pint, with a small cover charge in the evening. If you don't mind paying a bit more, there are two or three special beers at the bottom of the list that are usually worth checking out.
The food menu features simple but appealing dishes like shrimp-mushroom ajillo and gorgonzola mousse. The shop is located in the underground Porta complex just north of JR Kyoto Station. Seating can get a bit cramped when it's crowded, so off-peak drinking is recommended.
